Drawing on all the elements of my skills and training we will take some time to discuss your goals and needs before the start of our session, creating a plan for the session based on where you and your body are in that moment. You are in charge of your health and I am here to to facilitate this journey through skilled hands and my knowledge of anatomy & physiology, with a touch of intuition. We will go as deep as your muscles are willing to allow without creating pain (which is different than the sensation of “hurt so good”).

When scheduling your appointment simply note the type of bodywork focus you are seeking on the intake form where indicated.

I will bring: table, table warmer, music, sheets, lotion/oil, essential oils (optional usage). We will just need a space large enough to accommodate the work (a bit larger than the area of a single bed) that is free of clutter.

For those seeking to recover from exercise related musculoskeletal issues, injury recovery, preparation for sporting events, and recovery after events. We will utilize stretching, deep tissue, myofascial, and neuro-muscular techniques to meet your treatment goals and discuss a treatment plan in our post-session check-in.

***You may wish to wear or bring sports shorts/sport bra for the session for your comfort in the event stretching and resistance exercises are performed

Sessions will generally proceed as follows:

1.) A brief conversation to discuss any issues, goals or questions you may have.

2.) The majority of the session is focused on sharing Reiki or facilitating the flow of vital life energy. You will lie fully clothed on the massage table (with bolsters for more comfort as needed) and tune in to what you are feeling.

3.) The session will begin with the sound bowl ringing.

4.) I will assist you to reach a state of ease and receptivity through verbal guidance and/or breathing exercises. We may implement stones, plants, or sounds to aid in the work.

***During the session you may feel the urge to laugh, cry, shake/shiver, move, drift to a semi-sleep state, experience strong emotional sensations, see colors, or more. However, most commonly people report a deep sense of calm and relaxation. You may talk , ask questions, or take a more passive role in the experience. If at any point during the session you are uncomfortable you are encouraged to request a break or to end the session. You are sovereign of your being and you set the boundaries and parameters of our time together.***

5.) We will end the session with the bell and check-in after holding space for you to fully return to the space.

***Distance/Absentee sessions will be coordinated via phone or video (FaceTime/Skype), please contact me with questions***

For an additional $15 - $30 energywork can be added on to the end of Massage sessions for 15 or 30 minutes. This is a lovely way for someone to have an introduction to this more subtle healing modality, or simply enhance their experience to address all layers of their being. Making the connection is often faster after spending time together engaged in the physical aspects of massage, and many clients find it easier opening up and relaxing into the sensations of this subtle work with this format if it is their first time receiving energywork.

For an additional $10 therapeutic muscular cupping may be added on to any bodywork session, so long as no health contraindications exist. Superficial bruising may occur that can last 3-7 days.
